History:

Before Birth:

Sikes was always a violent tom and it was a wonder to anyone why Nancy loved him. The she-cat was under the impression that his cruel treatment was normal and would always come up with excuses for his behavior. The two had know each other for a very long time and Nancy seemed to cling to Sikes despite how distant he was from her. He gave her no reason to love him and yet she adored him with every fiber of her being.

Once Nancy announced that she was expecting his kits his temperament changed slightly. He was a little more gentle with her and did take care of her, but it wasn't meant to last. Sikes didn't want any sons, and was intent on killing any toms who were born, even if it meant killing the entire litter.

Kit-hood:

Dodger was born to a litter of three along with his brother Charlie and sister Bet. Sure enough Sikes attempted to kill his two sons. Charlie suffered the most, having one of his ears torn off while Nancy was forced to fight her mate off. Dodger was almost suffocated in the fight and Bet even took a few hits. Sikes viewed his sons as a threat to his dominance but he failed to kill them thanks to Nancy. The three kits only barely survived and the effects of the fight became apparent as the kits grew.

It was obvious that Dodger was the runt, but his size was the only thing he had to deal with. Charlie had trouble with his hearing after the hits he took to his head early in life and had a lot of trouble staying focused. Bet had trouble walking straight if at all. The hits she had taken had left her unable to walk properly and no matter how hard she tried to walk normally she just couldn't do it.

Sikes would often lash out at his kits, and while Charlie tried to fight back and Bet would often try to hide, Dodger never fought back. from the very start he was dead set against fighting, he hated his father and didn't want to end up like him at all. It wasn't long before Charlie began to act more and more like their father and the bigger tom began to take advantage of his smaller brother. Dodger was often shoved aside during feeding and blocked from the food, only left with the scraps. Bet was nicer to him, but even she took advantage of his size although she did feel bad about it.

One night an argument spiraled out of control and a full blown fight broke out in the family. Dodger ran, finally getting sick of them and he didn't once look back. As he ran he slowly began to feel free and he began to wonder why he hadn't left sooner. Sure, he knew nothing of the outside world but he knew that he would be able to survive, he just had to learn how.

Loner:

Although he had to teach himself most of his skills, he learnt a few things from a very old tom named Fagin. The old tom had been an amazing thief in his prime and passed his knowledge onto Dodger. he lived up to his name and soon became a very skilled thief, managing to steal prey out from right under a cats nose before they even knew he was there. It took some time for him to pull off regular jobs, but he soon figured out the best way to put his size to use. He was silent and fast, slipping in and out without anyone knowing he'd been around until it was too late.

After moons of this routine he eventually came across the Clans. Seeing the camps and their freshkill piles seemed like a dream come true for him. It was easy pickings as far as he was concerned and after watching the Clans he began sneaking into camp, even when there were cats around and stealing food. He never took more than he needed, knowing that if he took too much the Clans would know that there was a thief around and would do something to prevent him from getting to their food source. He was never once caught, a few close shaves, sure but he always managed to gets away unnoticed.

One day he attempted to steal prey from a camp belonging to another group called the League. That was when he first came across Thornheart. He was caught as he was trying to escape and fully expected to be attacked for his thievery. Much to his surprise, the Rogue leader wasn't at all angry about him stealing food that had been left out in the open, quite the opposite in fact. He invited the dark tom to join the group, and seeing this as the perfect chance to put his skills to use Dodger agreed. The only problem was killing.

Dodger was still dead set against fighting at all costs, but knew that he had to do something. He was lurking around StoneClan territory one day when he spotted a lone Warrior. Deciding to seize the chance, he pounced. He was easily overpowered by the other cat, but they had been fighting close to a cliff. By luck, Dodger was able to kick the cat off of him and sent them falling to their death. He left as fast as he could and relayed the news to Thornheart.

Rogue:

Dodger became renowned in the League for being a dare devil. He would often sneak into Clan camps to steal from the freshkill piles without them even noticing. By this stage, he was simply marching in and leaving once he had what he wanted. Although Dodger wasn't particularly close to any of the Rogues. He was very respectful towards high ranking cats and would often report his findings back to them. It wasn't uncommon for him to walk into a planning session between high ranked Rogues. Even though he was distant to most cats, he was particularly close to those with a higher rank, although he never knew any of them personally.

His job in the League barely went beyond spying. He never participated in any large scale fight and tended to avoid violence, unless of course a cat had done something to wrong him, in which case he wouldn't hesitate to make them suffer. However, he never did understand why so many cats in the group were so willing to throw their lives away. He was a trusted member of the group since he never lied and was a close spy of Thornheart's. However, he was not respected for his position. He still stole prey from League members but he was never attacked for doing so because of his position. He was looked upon with disgust, although with League cats it was always hard to tell the difference between disgust and jealousy.

Around the end of middle of his time in the League, events of large importance began to happen in his life. One day while returning from a spying mission in StoneClan territory, the tom came across a kit named Honeykit. From her, he leaned that Scarstar had exiled two sisters who had been found out to be Rogues. After parting ways with the kit he met with Thornheart. He confessed to meeting the kit and to his surprise he was severely told off for not taking the kit. He had promised the kit that he would meet her again, the tom went back to StoneClan territory and began to wander aimlessly for the next few days. He half hoped to see her again, but half hoped he wouldn't. Most of all, he didn't want to upset his superiors.

He wasn't found by any cat in StoneClan except for Honeykit herself who was able to track him down. The two talked for a while until Dodger decided to test her skills before taking her to the League. They were to play a game of chase, if she was able to outrun him, she would pass. Being an older cat with longer legs than the kit, Dodger was confident in his speed but she managed to outrun him and passed his test.

Dodger was proud to have brought back such a skilled cat to the League and as he had thought, she was welcomed into the group. She was regarded with high respect in the League and was treated like an older cat rather than a kit, even though she was still regarded as a kit. Dodger was assigned to teach her his skills, but things changed the next night. She followed a group of Rogues that had gone on an excursion and witnessed them fighting a StoneClan patrol. What impressed Honeykit was the sight of Spottedpaw (Cloudedpath) killing another cat. The Rogues soon discovered her and took her back to camp but she was different. She had a new respect for the Rogues and looked up to Spottedpaw as her idol. She abandoned her name and became a nameless kit, and thus began Dodger's task of training her to become an assassin.

Dodger was not at all pleased with what had happened. He still didn't like killing and had only ever used his skills for spying, never to cause harm to another cat. Some may argue that this was untrue, but in his eyes his first kill had been a fight of strength. He hated the fact that he was creating what he viewed as a monster but he kept his feelings hidden, not wanting to make them known to his superiors. With input from other Rogues that the nameless kit had managed to befriend she soon managed to surpass him and was soon ready for her final test: killing a Clan cat.

Dodger had no choice but to accompany her on her mission, but he wasn't alone. Many other Rogues including Thornheart himself went with them and remained hidden while she did what she set out to do. The nameless kit was unaware of their presence the entire time as she went back to the StoneClan camp, pretending to be her old self. She was able to sneak in and intended to kill one of her siblings but they weren't there. Instead she targeted a kittypet kit that StoneClan had taken in. She convinced the kit, named Bell to leave camp to play with her. During the play, she pinned Bell and killed her, passing her test. Aster that she was taken back to the League and took the name Dart.

After that Dodger began to grow distant from Dart. Whenever he entered camp and she ran to tell him of her deeds he would simply tell her that he had important business to attend to in an effort to avoid her. He was trying everything in his power to avoid his guilt of turning her into a weapon for the League to use like they had with him. He grew disgusted with the League and began to pick on the food supplies more often. During one of his attempts to steal prey he met a she-cat close to his age named Foxpaw. He tried to steal her rabbit but was caught. He started to flirt with the young she-cat, and asked her to meet him back there at sunset. He learned that she was pretending to be a spy for the Rogues, although she was more against their ways. They met at the same spot every sunset and spent a lot of time together. Soon he developed a crush on her and they continued to grow close.

It was after she had received her Warrior name, Foxline that he asked her to be his mate. What he didn't know was that her mother, Moonflight was watching them and she was far from happy. Moonflight despised Dodger because of how close he was to Thornheart, closer than she would ever be. Moonflight attacked Dodger and of course, he and Foxline fought back. By attacking Moonflight they had sealed their fate and had no choice but to flee, knowing that she would report back to Thornheart with this information and name them traitors.

Loner Part 2:

The two came across a Twoleg barn full of mice and lived their for a while. Dodger followed his mate everywhere and was and still is willing to give his life for her. The two would often discuss things before making any decisions. The two grew lazier and fatter from the supply of mice, but things changed when Dodger went out to scout, just in case the Rogues had found them. When he returned he learned the truth from his mate about a cat named Discordsong who was hellbent on wiping out her entire bloodline. She had attacked Foxline while he had been out but his mate had been able to kill her. It turned out that she was an insane spirit who had been killed by one of Foxline's ancestors. His first reaction was one of shock, then disbelief but he soon got over that and vowed to keep her safe as long as he breathed. The two decided to return to the Clans and prepared themselves for the fight of their lives as they planned to get rid of Moonflight once and for all.

That Dreadful Night:

What the two didn't realize was that the Clans were also prepared for the fight of their lives. The closer they got to the Pillars, the more the realized that something was off. The sound of fighting soon reached their ears along with death screams. When they reached their destination, it looked like all hell had broken loose. The League had decided to attack the Clans. He followed his mate into battle and fought alongside her, he was aware of the confusion over which side she was on, but was more focused on keeping her safe. Soon he became overwhelmed and was briefly separated from his mate. When he found her again the battle was over and the two decided to join LakeClan. They accepted them, even if there was mistrust but the two now had a home in the Clan.

Warrior:

Dodger refused to take a Warrior name, claiming that taking a new name to hide his identity from the League was cowardly. His allegiance is to his mate above all else and he is still willing to give his life for her. He still follows her around almost everywhere, even going so far as to use his stealth to follow her without her knowledge just so he knows she's safe.

(More to be added as events unfold.)

Role play example: (So far I've only used inner point of view, but I can pick up on other ways of role playing pretty quickly if need be.)

Sample: (Role Play with headpott for a scene in a Pokemon story)

"I don't think so." Shadow hissed as the footsteps of his pursuer thundered closer. He took a sharp turn into an alley and continued to walk at the same leisurely pace.

Behind him, Spine was grunting in an effort to keep up with him. It was pathetic to hear. The Quilladin was hobbling along as fast as his stubby legs could carry him. Shadow glanced over his shoulder to give the Pokemon a glare before fixing his gaze back in front of him.

"Keep up Spine, you know what'll happen if you don't." he barked at the Pokemon as they continued to make their way through the twists and turns of the alley, constantly aware of the stranger tailing them.

Sunlight dripped over the male like a can of golden paint, the freckling shadows here and there only intensified the rigor of the bath of light. Sunlight drizzled slowly and lazily through the camps barriers, as old brown leaves wrinkled and curled unhappily from the edges of the dens and through the thin layer of snow. A light, messy furred tom was lying on a small pile of rocks, warmed by the rays of light. His scent of cedar drifted strongly from him. It can be overwhelming at first with the lush scents dripping their odor in the breeze, and the crisp fresh scent of the wind.

Mothheart was sitting far outside the camp's entrance, his tail flicking nervously. This was his usual brooding spot where he thought he could think in peace. With a groan he rolled to his paws and paced around, flicking smaller rocks from his path with his one brown paw. He wanted guidence, he wanted another cats opinion but anything that had to do with the League or even loyalties was a tense subject. Mewing a defeated sigh he sat on a spot where the snow hadn't touched the earth. All the patrols and hunting parties had already left so there wan't much he could do to contribute at this point.
And so he sat alone, waiting for some kind of inspiration or sign.
