AN: I am so motivated to do this right now, so here have another chapter! Plus, I'm really happy with this one.

"That looks like the last of them!" Naru growled as the Pancham wiped a small trickle of blood from his face. Beside him, Geki, Hartwin's latest addition nodded in agreement. The Helipotile sniffed in irritation as he stared the two Team Flare Grunts down, clearly not impressed with their performance.

"Who do these guys think they are anyway? They come charging in through my home, killing a few of us in the process and they can't even stand up to two new trainers, a Pancham with attitude and an untrained Helioptile!" The small electric-type hissed, not even bothering to watch his tongue. He was so busy glaring at the Team Flare Grunts venomously that he didn't even notice the agitated look that Naru was giving him.

Hartwin sighed, shaking his head slightly and pinching the bridge of his nose as he listened to his Pokémon. "Geki, we can deal with this later, right now we have a scientist to find." He sighed, clearly wanting to get moving. Storm on the other hand froze at the Helioptile's words.

"Did you say that they KILLED Pokémon out there?" she asked him, finding the news to be quite disturbing. She'd heard a few stories of Pokémon being killed in battle, but had never thought that they had been true, although after the recent development with her dreams, she shouldn't be so surprised.

The small lizard-like Pokémon nodded mutely, a deadly look on his face as he watched the Team Flare Grunts scamper off to a different part of the cave. There was no point in going after them, it wasn't like they could cause much trouble with fainted Pokémon. Besides, there was a scientist who needed to be found somewhere in this cave.

"These guys came trampling through my home and slaughtered almost everyone who got in their way. There was no reason for them to do it, I mean no one was causing them any harm, but they still decided to kill them." Geki finally said, a bitter and hateful edge to his voice. Beside him, Naru was looking lost, his eyes slightly glazed over but he soon shook it off.

"Come on, pal. You'll be okay, there are plenty of opportunities to get your revenge." The Pancham said softly, a surprising change from his usual, loud and confident behaviour, but Storm didn't question it. There was plenty of time to talk to her Pokémon later.

Geki nodded in response and looked up at his new trainer with a blank expression. "Let me back in the ball. I need some time to think." He sighed, his appearance giving off nothing but grief. Hartwin nodded in agreement and returned him to his home. Following suit, Storm returned Naru to his Poke ball.

"I had no idea the Team Flare was killing Pokémon." She mumbled, still trying to wrap her head around the new information. It still felt unreal to her, although she knew that it was a fact of life. Her mind drifted to Shadow and she gulped. Could he also be responsible for the deaths of Pokémon? She wouldn't put it past him, considering how he acted.

"I had heard rumours, but I didn't think that they were true. But at least now we know who the group behind it is." Hartwin replied, his brow furrowed in thought. He did have a point, at least now they knew who was killing innocent Pokémon, but that didn't change the fact that it was happening in the first place.

"This is the first I've heard of it. I'm not from around here, remember?" she replied with a heavy voice, feeling as though the weight of the world was crashing down on her. Was this what Xerneas was talking about? Because if it was, she didn't know if she could handle it, it was just too much to take in.

Her heart was heavy as she continued to walk through the cave, the beautiful gems from before, long behind her and her companion. Soon, they became aware of a faint voice, sounding very upbeat and happy with itself.

The two shared a look and took off running until they found the source of the voice. The closer they got, the more obvious it became that the voice was in fact singing. "Alouette, gentille alouette,
Alouette, je te plumerai." Storm raised an eyebrow but kept herself from asking. It wasn't a song that she recognized, but guessed that someone who had lived in Kalos their whole life would recognize the song.

"Je te plumerai la tête. Je te plumerai la tête. Et la tête! Et la tête!" the voice continued, to sing the volume increasing the closer the two got. It was obvious that the voice belonged to a male, and they were most definitely older than the two trainers. It was also clear that whoever they were, wasn't very good at singing. Although she didn't know the song, she was pretty sure that the man was singing off key every now and again.

"Alouette! Alouette!" The voice sang as they turned a corner and found themselves staring at the back of a man wearing a lab coat. It was pretty obvious that this was the missing scientist. A flash of light caught Storm's eye and Jessie was stood by her side. He listened to the song for a little bit and began to hum along, clearly recognizing it.

Storm cleared her throat, a sudden burst of anger welling up inside her. They had spent hours trying to track this guy down and risked the lives of their Pokémon to do so, only to find him at the back of a cave singing to himself as if nothing had happened. As the sound, the scientist turned around, a little surprised at first but soon a smile spread across his face.

"Well hello there!" he replied, the same cheerful tone to his voice. This only caused to enrage the girl even more. Was this guy really so dim that he didn't even realize that Glittering Cave was crawling with fashion obsessed psychos?

"Don't you 'hello there' me! Do you have ANY idea what trouble you've caused?" she snapped, surprising her companions and the scientist in question.

The man stumbled back in surprise and blinked a few times before replying. "I-I'm sorry?" he spluttered in response, clearly unsure of how to react to her hostility.

"Don't tell me that you were completely unaware of the fact that the entire Fossil Lab is wondering where you ran off to AND there's a group in this cave, going by the name of Team Fare, who are CLEARLY after something you have!?" She shouted, not even caring about the fact that her voice was echoing through the tunnels and caverns.

The scientist gulped and looked down at the four stones beside him. "No... I... had no idea." He simply replied, clearly not wanting to bring anymore of the teenager's rage down on him. Storm was breathing heavily by now, her eyes flashing dangerously as she stared at him.

"Look, you'd best be getting back to town, okay? It's really not safe here." Hartwin cut in, trying to bring some calm to the situation. Much to Storm's surprise, the scientist nodded and gestured to the stones.

"Oaky... but please take one of these fossils. You came all this way to find me, so it's only fair that you get something in return. I have two Sail Fossils and two Jaw Fossils. Take whichever one you want." He explained quietly, indicating to the fossils in turn.

Storm studied the fossils carefully, something in her mind telling her to choose a Sail Fossil. "I'll take a Sail Fossil." She mumbled, accepting the blueish stone as it was handed to her. As she gently placed it in her bag, with Jessie watching her intently, she was aware of Hartwin asking for a Jaw Fossil.

She glanced at Jessie, seeing the Braixen looking tired and worn out after the fight with Team Flare and turned to leave. "I'm going to head back to town. I need to heal the team up." She announced, hearing Jessie letting out a relieved sigh.

She began to make her way out of the cave, only to almost walk into two people. She let out a surprised yelp and quickly returned Jessie to his Poke ball and continued to stumble her way out of the cave. The darkness of this part of the cave was getting to her and she stumbled more than once as she tried to navigate the tunnels. Cursing herself for not paying attention to route that she had taken in.

Soon the faint light of the blue crystals came into view and she let out a relieved sigh. Okay, she could work with this, at least now she had some light to guide her. Her optimistic outlook didn't last long however, as she soon found herself at a dead end. She groaned and began to backtrack through the network of tunnels, getting more and more annoyed with each dead end she ran into.

"I hate caves so much!" she complained, as she continued to try and retrace her steps, really regretting her decision to leave Hartwin back with the scientist and couldn't help but wonder if he was having better luck than she was. A flash of red soon caught her eye as Guardian appeared from her Poke ball.

She glanced briefly at the Absol before continuing along her path, pausing to check a narrow tunnel as she went. "You know, checking branching pathways isn't the best idea." Guardian stated calmly, earning a grunt in response as her trainer turned back to their current path. The Absol chuckled softly and continued to follow her trainer without saying anything else.

"Grey, Tuma!!!" a voice called, echoing through the tunnels, and definitely heading in her direction. Her eyes narrowed, not recognizing the voice at all, but now finding herself curious as to who the owner was, but forced herself to stay on guard.

"Sounds like we have company." Guardian stated calmly. Storm nodded in agreement and prepared herself for a possible attack. With Team Flare lurking in the cave, it was better to be safe than sorry when it came to other people. Especially, when you were lost and had an injured team to protect you.

Much to her surprise however, two young Pokémon, clearly not native to the cave or the area outside, came bounding into view. She relaxed visibly and shared a confused look with Guardian. "Well... that was unexpected." she muttered, not sure how else to respond to the arrival of the Eevee and the Electrike.

Haha! xD I've heard kids at my old school sing that before! Though i always disliked the lyrics... No wonder this guy didn't notice or hear Team Flare! :XD: I bet he was too occupied signing that song to even hear anything else! I may use that idea later on for someone to prevent a certain unnamed person from punching him

I see Madison's on her way! :la: I can't wait to find out how Storm and her think of each other!
