So, I was just having a look at the cast for the new DC movie Suicide Squad and the video I was watching kinda made me notice something. So, first off, yes I am a DC fan more than a Marvel fan. I DON'T hate Marvel, I just prefer DC. Also I do like the Dark Knight trilogy... or at least the first one since that's the only one I've seen but anyway.

So they didn't seem to like the idea that the Joker is possibly going to be pretty different from the Dark Knight Joker, which kinda annoys me. I haven't been a fan of the series for very long but I know enough to say that the Dark Knight Joker is actually quite different from other versions of the character.

Now, originally the Joker was a very clean individual, while in the Dark Knight he's very grubby. This isn't a bad thing, in fact it's quiet interesting. In fact I do like this version, it's just not my favourite. In fact, in the video they seemed a bit iffy about the idea that the Joker might end up like he was in the Tim Burton movie. I personally don't find this to be a bad thing, because that version was very good.

What annoys me is that as soon as you say something that you don't like about the Dark Night or you say that you prefer a different version of the Joker people can act kinda crazy. The other day I was browsing some fanfics and all I see is animatedverse with Dark Knight Joker with a few animated Jokers thrown in.

I get it, the Dark Knight is very popular and I don't have anything against people who like the movie and say that their favourite Joker is from that movie, but why not give a few other people a chance? Don't judge them, in fact there are some FANTASTIC Jokers out there! I mean the Joker in the animated series (the one from the 90's) was really good, the Joker from Under the Red Hood is great and the Joker from Assault on Arkham is incredible! Plus these three are much closer to the original character than the Dark Knight version, or at least that's what I can gather... I dunno.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, I find it annoying when people judge something before they give it a chance! Don't freak out because something is different, take a gander at this new thing and THEN you can judge it! I mean, I'm not 100% sure on Harley Quinn in this upcoming movie, but I won't judge her until I've seen the movie! I mean, Harley is my favourite character and after the terrible interpretations that I've seen in The Batman and Batman The Brave and the Bold (bare in mind I did give them a fair chance and went in with an open mind when I watched the shows, but ultimately didn't like them.) I'm a tad worried. But in the past few years with the Arkham games and Assault on Arkham they have done the character justice so I'm feeling pretty open minded about it.

So, if you aren't sure about something just accept it and give it a chance before you openly bash it. It doesn't make you look good and to be honest it's pretty annoying. You are entitled to your own opinion and I respect that but PLEASE respect other peoples opinions too.
